DMCA & Copyright Policy

We respect the intellectual-property rights of artists and rights holders. This page explains how to report copyright infringement on WipDesk and how we respond, in line with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).

1. Filing a Takedown Notice

If you believe content on WipDesk infringes your copyright, send a written notice to dmca@wipdesk.com containing all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on their behalf
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., a URL to the original, or a description sufficient to identify it)
  3. Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (URL or commission slug on wipdesk.com)
  4. Your contact information: full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf

2. What Happens After a Notice

Upon receiving a complete notice, we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material expeditiously
  • Notify the user who uploaded the material and forward a copy of the notice
  • Provide the user an opportunity to file a counter-notice

Repeat infringers' accounts will be terminated under our Terms of Service.

3. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to dmca@wipdesk.com containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your full legal name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or for any judicial district in which our designated agent may be found if your address is outside the United States, and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the complainant. Unless the complainant files a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the material.

4. False Claims

Filing a false notice or counter-notice may result in liability for damages, costs, and attorneys' fees under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Submit notices in good faith.
